Handles - String Reinforced
This common shopping bag uses twisted string for handles.
These are glued between two paper reinforcing cards. One
side of the card in turn is then glued to the inside of
the bag. Such a design offers a strong bond for the handle
- look for failures elsewhere in the bag. Some designs
use another piece of thick paper at the bottom of the
bag to keep sharp objects from poking through.
