Whiteboarding
Whiteboarding is a technique drawn from the Facilitator's
Manual of Problem-Based Learning. Teachers use it to make
public the ideas that initially get discussed and thereafter
get refined during an investigation or design activity.
In MOVIE 1, Georgia Tech's Janet Kolodner describes the
three columns used in this form of shared notetaking:
the Facts (Things We Know) column, an Ideas and Hypotheses
column where conjectures are recorded, and a Learning
Issues column, where suggestions for future investigations
are placed. |
