Coaching Teams
With design tasks, many "teachable moments" come when
you wors with individual design groups. How do you respond
when a team with two days left on a project and has a
fundamental critical error in understanding of how the
device they are designing works?
One of Ed Goldman's goals as a teacher is to get students
to rely upon themselves rather than him by the time they
finish the first quarter with him. What techniques do
you see Ed using when working with groups to reach this
goa? How does he avoid sending the message that students
cannot do things on their own, and need the teacher when
they are in a tight spot? |
