Science Video Timeline - Introduction
The Science Video Timeline gives you a video chronology of how
two science teachers implemented the model parachute task. You
can do side-by-side comparisons of the teaching styles and approaches
of Bridget Sirrine of Alpharetta, GA (top row), and that of
Earl Carlyon of Farmington, MA (bottom row). The early
stages of the activity can be found by clicking on Day 1-3.
Students' work mid-way through the task can be seen in Day 4
with a Poster session describing the Design Rules-of-Thumb that
the teams proposed. Finally Day 5 has the final chute drops,
and Day 6 wrap-up reflections on this work.
